"Passive Day" Painting by Kenny McKenna

Kenny McKenna is known for his impressionistic oil paintings, particularly landscapes that convey warmth, tranquility, and luminous sunlight. Raised in Kansas, McKenna was inspired by the contrast between the rolling Midwest farmlands and the dramatic deserts and canyons of the American Southwest encountered during family travels. His experiences touring the country as a professional musician further shaped his artistic perspective. In addition to his success as a painter, McKenna has been inducted into the Kansas Music
Hall of Fame, the South Dakota Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame, and the Iowa Rock ’N’ Roll Music Association Hall of Fame. His work has appeared in major exhibitions including Masters of the American West at the Autry Museum of the American West and Night of Artists at the Briscoe Western Art Museum. McKenna lives and works in Santa Fe and his work is proudly offered through InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX.
