"Hopeful" Painting by Nancy Bush
Native Texan Nancy Bush was born in Austin and now lives in Fredericksburg, Texas. Her artistic journey has taken her around the world to study and paint a wide range of subjects, though landscape remains her greatest passion. Bush is especially drawn to the quiet atmosphere of daybreak, fading evening light, and gray, overcast skies, seeking to capture both the emotional and physical essence of a scene through simplified compositions and subtle mood.
Influenced by nineteenth- and twentieth-century painters including George Inness, Isaak Levitan, John Henry Twachtman, and Russell Chatham, Bush strives to convey the raw beauty and stillness of nature. Through her work, she hopes to preserve a single quiet moment and create an emotional connection between the viewer and the landscape. Nancy’s work is proudly offered through InSight Gallery in Fredericksburg TX.
